Starfleet’s first pure combat warship, conceptualized by Commander Benjamin Sisko following Wolf 359 to neutralize the Borg Collective. Served as the frontline spearhead throughout the Dominion War.
TACTICAL PROFILE & DEFENSIVE SYSTEMS:
4 forward-mounted pulse phaser cannons; 3 torpedo launchers (Photon and Quantum torpedoes); heavy ablative hull armor; Romulan-supplied cloaking device on NX-74205.

Overpowered Class 7 M/ARA reactor originally designed for an Excelsior-class hull crammed into a compact frame. Requires structural integrity fields running at 250% nominal power to prevent the ship from tearing itself apart.
SUBLIGHT IMPULSE PROPULSION:
High-thrust compact impulse driver with thrust vectoring verniers for extreme combat maneuverability.

Stationed at Deep Space 9. Turned the tide of the Dominion War; led the retaking of Deep Space 9 during Operation Return. Destroyed by Breen energy-dampening weapons at Chin'toka; succeeded by the USS Sao Paulo (NCC-75633) rechristened Defiant.
